Dammond PMM installed....

I had the Damond PMM removed and the stock part replaced. Much better! The ride is not as rough, my rear view mirror is no longer vibrating and there is no effect on torque steer that I can notice. The first $100 takes the DM PMM with less than 3,000 miles on it.

Which version Damond PMM do you have? Curious if the difference between the two versions impact NVH

I’m not sure about different versions of the PMM (passenger side motor mount) that Damond makes. I know there are different versions of the RMM, one rather severe, but not with the PMM. Sorry. I had the one with the large rubber donut in the middle of the two attachment points between engine and frame.

I just looked at the picture for this thread. I had the same PMM installed in my Speed, only I had a black colored donut, not gold....I don’t think different colors have different characteristics....<smirk>

The colors don't matter; they changed the design slightly sometime...last year, I think it was? The revised design uses less material for lower weight and cost, but functionally isn't supposed to be any different as far as strength, etc. I haven't seen anyone do a comparison on if nvh differs between the two.

That, I did not know. I know I had the most recent model in my car. It would be interesting to compare the two. From my seat of the pants evaluation, the PMM made the most increase in NVH. Going back to the stock reinforced that for me as the NVH is now much less with the Stage 2 CS RMM and CS insert in the TMM and the stock PMM. I do not plan to mess with the motor mounts again until/unless the stock PMM goes out. I will likely purchase another stock unit to keep the NVH at the current acceptable (to me, which in my case is important, almost as important as my wife’s evaluation, though she is an occasional occupant of the passenger seat.)

The initial PMM design had a thick aluminum plate that held everything together and connected to the engine. The newer design has a welded piece bolting to the engine. I'm sure the differences in NVH are minimal

Hey, how is the PMM working out for you?
Just got it in last week or so actually. At first I thought the vibes were gonna be too much for me, but I told myself to give it a week or 2. Now I don't even notice. So it's going great.

Wife hasn't ridden with me yet so we will see how she takes it.

There was some concern for me when I bought a Sure Motorsports PMM 2 years ago for my Speed. Good news is that it is fabulous and no breakdown of the donut or any of the components. I prefer the design, which is closer to the OEM than the Damon or the Corksport. Less NVH in my experience. Just a FYI
