Regulators that support carb and FI do a poor job at both. I had an aerormotive and the return orifice is too large so it would surge if you set it up for FI. This would cause the return line to rattle and pressure would regulate but bounce a few psi. It was not smooth as the out flow was too big so it was like trying to fill a Gatorade bottle from a fire hose. I ended up fixing it by just getting a FI only regulator and that worked great.
No. The car was tuned for 40psi pre vacuum with the AEM reg. So that's where I set it at on the replacement fuel lab reg.
Interesting. I thought others have bolted it right up and not needed any corrections to their tunes.

Intermittent rev hang and idle would not settle. Idle would pulse between 900 to 2000 rpm. Same issue between 3 different CS throttle bodies. For example, i did not have the issue during the dyno day and then shortly after that it would be intermittent. I talked with Zach at CS and he said its not uncommon for a little plastic gear inside the throttle body to shear and they're working with their supplier to correct this. I just kept playing the CS lottery to see if i would get a "good one"
Unfortunately, i do not have logs of this happening. It was annoying as hell though. Tuner recommended i just swap back to stock throttle body. I refused for awhile and i am glad i did at this point. I have the CS throttle body and it does not need to be returned. Would you like to dissect the thing and report for the community? Just like we did with the EBCS?
It doesnt appear broken. This one has less than 500mi on it. Although, i do not know if its related but when you shake it, something internally is loose and rattling. Same same tuner as always, Captain KR. William Drank.
Honestly, i do not want to sell it with the possibility of it being bad for the next person. If you're willing to confirm its good and my problem was tune related all along, that would be very very neat.
