Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

You "over boosted" to 40 psi lol

How'd the car feel at that? Like hitting NOS in fast and the furious?

Quick little update. I replaced my HPRV after some odd KOEO testing I noticed multiple times. It seemed to have corrected the intermittent rattle I would hear from the "valve cover" area. I also found marks on the firewall from the exhaust manifold vband clamp making contact. I shortened the bolt slightly with a Dremel and it seems the two noises since day 1/startup concerning me are gone.

I also fixed my overboost issue and am now hitting target 24psi on base map.
I'm about ready to throw in the tribodyn 5w40 in less than 50mi and start tooning.

I ordered a replacement gates vvt solenoid from rockauto and it looks like they sent me the wrong one. I'm going to replace the solenoid, along with the VC gasket, and hardware from Corksport.

Got that glorious trib 5w40 in and checked the compression today. I measured 181, 185, 187, 184. The spark plugs looked mint as well. I finally drove the piss out of it today for the first time really. I gave it my all and good lord I missed this. Just the base map alone had me shaking lol

Got the valve cover off and replaced the VVT solenoid. Everything with the valvetrain looked good and BLUE lol. I highly recommend the new CS valve cover hardware. It keeps the gasket in place and works just like the oem hardware. I previously had AP hardware and I'm sure that was the cause of the VC gasket oozing out the corners. I also took some time and made sure the WOTbox was setup properly following Nishans video. I set my FFS shift timing to 130ms for now. I'm about ready to send the 1st set of logs to my tuna.

Well...I drove it to work today and saw a little trail of oil. Popped the hood and it appears it's coming from the corner of the VC. I really doubt i rolled the gasket or its pinched. I'll have to go back in there and try again. Sheesh

Nah leave it be. Makes a cool splatter paint job on your intake
It's definitely more than a splatter. Plenty of Smurf juice running down the front of the transmission. I can feel puffs of air right from where it's seeping out of the VC. Oh well, I ordered another gasket for now.

Samesies - I don't know what it is about this VC gasket, but I hate everything about it. Curious to see what your gasket looks like, mine looked like (and probably now that I'm redoing it yet again) a cat chewed on it all around

The first gasket installed when I built the engine looked mangled and ripped up when I removed it. However, it wasn't leaking like this 2nd one is. I attribute it to the metal spacers part of the AP performance hardware not fitting completely in the holes of the gasket. I know I applied rtv at the splits the first time, but forgot to this second time. Still, the CS hardware is far superior I think.
