Of course not. LOLThey asking for the old one back to see how it failed?
Wow, f that. hope it is not that bad.Well I'm speechless. Sounds like a spun bearing. Didn't even make it past 1200 miles. I give up at this point. Time to buy a used Toyota camry to putt around in![]()

i don't know man. Someone/something is trying to tell me to just stop and throw in the towel. And i'm not listening i guess. I picked up an 02 kool aid purple Camry to reassure the wife that everything will be okay..lolbruh wtf is goin on
Built to rev to 8k just like the last engine. So i revved it out to 8k no problem. At the tuners request of course. This time around I had the wot box installed to prevent a lean burn situation. The first engine failure could be blamed on the tune but this one? I would say something is wrong on the builders end if you spun a bearing already at 1200 miles. Did you ever hit redline, bounce it off the limiter or close to it?
2nd motor from Overspeed.Sorry to hear man, wtf is going on? Who built the engine again? This is all after the ordeal trying to pump the oil pump right?
This is why i can't have nice things. What a damn shame really. Purple toyota camry for me.I hate to be that guy but there is a good chance the failure has to do with your oil mishap. Those seconds you coasted with no oil pressure definitely could’ve done some damage. Good chance you damaged a bearing and the problem got worse in the next 2 weeks. Might have created a hot spot
on the bearing and then it spalled.
Hello friends. I'm still here.
Well, i'm all moved into the new house. The garage floor is epoxied with all the glitterz and organized enough for me to push the car in. My next plan of attack is obviously drain the oil and see how much metal particles come out. At this point i'm expecting to have to replace the ecoboost crank with another, manley rods, and new bearings. Hopefully not much more. Crossing my fingers the 2618, 87.75 bore pistons are usable. I do have a spare CX7 block in exceptionally good condition that can be sent to the machine shop if required.
My question is, how would you all approach this?
