High KR at High RPM

Hey everyone,

I've been driving my 2007 speed6 for a little under a year now and I just got these high KR's (about 4-5) at high RPM doing some 3rd gear WOT pulls. I rarely see about 2 KR right before shifting which I assume is just mechanical noise from shifting but this time i saw 5.95 which seems a little high. I did two pulls which gave some pretty high numbers (logs attached). Did some more later on that day and never saw these numbers again (only about 0.7 which i've seen since I built it and got it tuned by Freektune).

Wondering if this is just an anomaly or excessive noise in the engine bay or something I should look into. I always make sure my oil temps are at least 184 before I do pulls too.

Do you have logs? Just looking at the display for kr is not reliable given how quickly it can change

Were these pulls done on a smooth road? Once I was logging on a road I'd driven before, but never at speed, and I hit a pretty rough patch while at WOT. Sure enough, looked at the logs afterwards, and KR had shot up to ~6 at that point in the log. Something to consider.

Side note, I was extremely jealous of your BATs until I realized you're Canadian and the temps are in C haha. Now I'm only slightly jealous

The logs are attached with the first post.

Road was smooth. Although, I do have an ACT 6 puck clutch and all 3 damond motorsport mounts which leads me to believe it might just be from shifting gears which i remember being pretty rough on those pulls. That said, Im not sure what KR from a shift looks like in a log.

BATs were nice that night. To be fare it was not a very hot summer night which helped.

Just did an other pull and I still got this high KR value (4.9). Hopefully i am just terrible at shifting lol

Yeah the significant knock in that one seems to come after you're already letting off the accelerator. Is this a pump gas tune? If so, do you have any e85 near you? You could try adding some of that (wouldn't need much I'm guessing, maybe shoot for an e20 mix?) to the tank to raise the octane to rule out this being actual knock. And you might as well give everything a once over to make sure nothing has come loose and might be the cause of the knock.

I'd check your motor and transmission mounts out real well too. I just looked at a WOT 1st-3rd gear log I did a while back and I didn't have any knock in between shifts.
