HPFP irratic reading at high RPM

i ordered a new pump. ill put my internals in it. the connector on my spill valve is broken anyways. i just hope the spill valve is the issue. like i stated before. my internals look great.

Seems unlikely. What are you going to do if swapping the HPFP results in the same issue?

Edit: Also were the internals scored or marred in any way?

i didnt see anything that looked scarred up or anything on my internals. ill get a pic of them when my new pump comes in and i replace that. any other ideas? another 400 bucks in internals would suck being mine are only a little over a year old.

If they are scored you can probably get them warrantied. I did that with my Autotechs.

Here's my internals. The only thing I see is the dark band in the middle of the shaft. I can't feel it but I can see it.

Tough to tell with the glare but looks like you might be getting a hot spot on the shaft

If you put the piston in the collar dry, does it move easily or is it rough and hitchy? They must be perfectly clean when testing (use lighter fluid for this).

Ok. I contacted them they said to send it in for inspection. It seems likenits in the piston not the shaft.

You mean the collar. Could be the collar that is fucked up, cause that doesn't get the DLC coating.
