1) 2010 MS3 Silver Original owner
2) 363K miles (commuter car since day one)
3) orginal engine blew out at 300k. Installed a junk yard engine with 83k miles on it . Put 63k miles on the 2nd engine with no isues so far.
4) I still use this car for my daily drive -- 150 miles round trip commute.

I get around 26 mpg and love when Hondas think they can push me around. I bought a new Ford Focus RS back in 2017 to replaced the Mazda but the RS has such a small gas tank plus I didn't want to rack up the miles on it. It's for sales if anybody is interested! But not my Mazdaspeed 3! I hope to get to 500k in a few years. I use Kirkland 5-30 synthetic oil. repalce it every 5000 to 6000 miles.

That is some truly amazing shit. Still the original trans? You modded/tuned? I should just sell my CX-30 and daily my Speed if I can keep driving the thing for eternity. I do worry about eventual parts availability, though.

Got the car in the summer of 2020. Has been solid overall just did a turbo swap because as usually original was drinking oil.

The main driver for modding my car was to have a fun Autocross/Backroad monster, I absolutely love grip driving, and I live near the tail of the dragon so every single mod I do to the car, I test it there. Plus being a professional mechanic for a living, I LOVE how simple the platform is to work on!

How do you compare the RS and Speed3? Understanding of course that they are diff price point...
 
1) 2009 first and only owner
2) 138,XXX
3) 130 miles on SP63 stage 2 long block
4) Not at the moment, working out the kinks with the new setup. Afterwards will be my daily, until I get something new... not getting rid of the speed.
