I'm really beginning to think it is. Kinda like Christine without the murders.

I've been trying to get the sound to rear it's head with no avail. Driven to work and back through freshly grinded road surface, potholes, railroad tracks and even taking some pretty decent highway curves at the posted speed limit...Definitely not 75mph in a 55mph zone and 40mph recommend speed...that would be illegal. .

Not a sound. So instead of pulling the axle apart today I ripped the entire rear suspension out and reset the coilovers, RSB, and readjusted the camber. She's riding nice and quiet...somehow.

We shall see what happens.
 
ok well...so you put off the job. At least you have parts for the carrier bearing. I drove 460 miles this weekend with a screaming pulley bearing...its chattering like crazy. I was terrified it would seize and shred the belt. I think its the alternator bearings.
