is it the real OEM SPEED3 CV Axles ?

I just pick up those 2 cv axles ... the guy told me they are forged ... really tough it's not but ...

I open them to rebuild them completly with powdercoat all the components but is it fair to put all the way back all the part or they are really wear down ???

is it really speed3 cv axles or 3 standard or speed6 one ?

but in term of wear on the other picture ... is it ok to rebuild them ... or it's not a good idea ? I need to look for other or even new ?
 
I haven’t rebuilt or serviced CV axles and I’m not sure how much wear is acceptable. Could you get a replacement race, cage, and balls for it?

Not sure how much help this will be, but I have serviced hub bearings on bicycles a bunch of times and what I see in your photo would officially not be considered ok. However, I’m a cheapskate sometimes and on a bicycle I’d likely just clean everything up and repack the grease if the balls looked ok. If there is some scoring I’ve even just replaced the balls and reused the hub. If the wheel rotates smoothly once back together I’d ride it with confidence. But, of course, this is with a bicycle and also not a CV axle…
 
Jeez Silva how old are your bikes? I haven't repacked bearings on a hub or BB since the 90s when I was a mechanic at Performance.

Ha :) I’ve had many bikes. My newest is a 2010 Trek Soho. I rebuilt the wheels using SLX hubs and the BB with Shimano external cups (which I’ve also cleaned and repacked at least once when I transferred some older ones to my MTB), and a bunch of other things. I built that Soho up pretty well since I was using it a lot for commuting and then for serious exercise. The last bike I bought was a semi-vintage Panasonic DX4000 with those neat looking Shimano brakes and gearing (forget the name off-hand). I sold that one though.
