Sounds like you did it for a great price overall. That definitely beats the $1500 for just fuel I was thinking you meant. I heard those AIS systems are nice. Did you keep having leaks or something? You said PI is so much "easier and more stable" and I'm curious what you meant.

Yeah the price is becuase of how I did it and setting the right goals for the system. The sp36 system is great, but Im not shooting for 800hp, my system should be able to handle 500-600 hp no problem and do it on the (relatively) cheap

I was having AFR stability issues. Not getting even enough flow to the cylinders on a stock ported manifold. That and at one point my pump got disconnected some how so that sucked. Just a few less things to worry about. I just fill my gas tank now and get the same output I was doing on meth. Sounds like on the tuning end its a lot easier to dial in as well (Will at PD doing the tuning for me)

Ahhh, even distribution issues. Yeah, makes sense. If I ever go built/bigger BT, I'd definitely use the FoST or CS (if released) IM so that it's not an issue. I'd get a progressive controller at that point too, instead of my boost switch.

You're a Genwon, right? The tuning logic on them/lack of O/L flexibility in terms of fuel trims makes adding in secondary fuel, esp. methanol, a bit tricky. For me, being a Pu, all that's necessary is being "close enough" in the MAF curve for things the ECU to adjust appropriately on the fly. We have about +/-10-12% wiggle room, which makes that pretty easy to accomplish.

Got a bunch done this weekend. Wife was out of town, so I set aside the weekend to work on shit that I have been putting off. List of what I did:

Washed car inside and out (needed this so bad it wasnt funny)
Installed SP36 fan controller (not 100% done because I lost the quick taps somewhere. Might just solder the wires)
Got A/C recharged (thanks @ALPINEST4RS)
Mazda 5 rear brakes finally installed
Last of my stainless lines installed (again thanks to @ALPINEST4RS)
Corksport Steering Wheel installed
Re-set my CPS so I would stop throwing the P0335 Code

After I got the useful stuff done, I worked on some rice.
Black lugs and black RPF1 centercaps
Blacked out the chipping chrome emblem on the air bag
Paint touch up everywhere (still a lot to do)
Working on making my own coil pack cover. (out of aluminum eventually, not a rice krispies box)

I think thats it. I consider that a pretty productive weekend.

Registered for the dyno next Monday so we will see how my 93 tune does on it. Hopefully the weather stays a bit cooler. Then time to get on that E85 tune and see what she will do.

So a few more updates. Hit the dyno yesterday. Pretty damn happy with the results considering it was 97 degrees in the dyno room. We had a fan on my IC, but it can only do so much. This was with my 93 tune to try and do a few things: A: make sure my PI system works correctly in a controlled environment, B: to get data to Will at PD (@Captain KR ) tuning to make sure this Im set for the track at MWM and C: make sure the car doesnt blow up.

Attached is the plot. The first run didnt have the tach signal show up, but then after the second run, the tach for the first populated. Not sure the first run is the most accurate due to that, but the other two were super close (and both had good tach signal), so Im trusting those numbers.

Overall, Im super happy with the results. Car pulls hard and feels super soild without being maxed out for a good DD/track day tune

Finished my coil pack cover. Going to send it out to black anodize and have it match the manifold and fuel rail.

Next up is hopefully an E85 tune. Not sure whats after that. I should probably finish my quick latches at some point too.

If so, the tune can be setup to keep boost at desired level regardless of ambient, so long as everything is calibrated accordingly and you have enough WGDC headroom. Then again, it may be tuned for less boost if your BATs are really high, which is a prudent safety measure. It'd be easier to know what's going on with that with logs. Heck, easiest way of all is just to ask your tuner

Run order is from bottom to top. so 389, 410, 407. As far as the tune, I dont know 100%, that would be a question for Will. I know BATs were in the 130s.

Yes. After the first set up u may have to tweek it alittle. For me my set points worked out good and i didnt have to mess with it. Comes on at 199-201 and goes off at 190.

So mini update. Threw in a Cobb shifter courtesy of @bRitzCrackers 's traitorous part out. Havent pulled the homemade SSP I have in there so shifts are stupid short. I will be taking that off tonight. Cant really give any impression of it until then, but I hope its better than stock or with just the SSP. Boot also looks kind of funny, but I dont know if I care enough to do anything about it.

Tonight the plan is to get some shit done. SSP out, finish up my fan controller wiring, thinking I will make a mount for my ECU to better hold it, and install a boost gauge thanks to @mole 's traitorous part out.

Also picked up a new noise in the front end, might try and check that out if I can get the garage clean enough to get my car in it.

Lastly is getting my E85 tune on with @Captain KR and seeing what this car can really do. I have a feeling we will hit a wall with my ATP hotside.

I call it "turbo-friendly weather," and here in North Texas, it's glorious!
Before I installed my methanol system, I have tons of logs showing a 30/30 whp/wtq loss in the summertime heat. It's a lot less now (gotta love methanol). But starting with cool ambients in the first place is awesome!
