Masterminds old speed build

What exactly did you expect from ground control, and what didnt you like about their stuff?

They are definitely known to send wrong parts, but they always fix whatever they goof.

Got the ISC’s on the car and ran at the track pretty successful. The car is much more planted and is like a rocket now.

Still waiting for the report on the Whiteline Bumpsteer Kit and Anti-Lift Kit. @Raider says the ALK won't install, LOL.

I won’t be doing that install until I pull the engine to be built if all goes as planned that will happen this coming winter

You know your shit will explode once the wrench @Mastermind46 left in the intake makes its way into the turbo. You'll be building in 2 weeks.

On the way to work Wednesday morning, coming to a stop the car zzb'd, downshifted at about 40 mph to slow down for traffic and the car jerked, started billowing smoke, and died. Got it off to the side of the road and towed it home, yesterday I pulled the plugs, which were soaked in oil, drained the oil and it was full of metal shavings, car still starts runs and drives but it dumps smoke faster than snoop dogg on 4/20. It's time to build, car will be going in the garage to start tear down, I'm looking at 18-24 months to build, my end goal will be 600-650. I will update this thread as I begin the build process and document where I go with the car.

@kennyfish has done the impossible, he found @Mastermind46 10 mil socket that was left in the intake. He has said there are more. Let me know when you need some help tearing shit apart or putting it together and I'll swing by and help. I'll also not leave 10 mil sockets in the motor. I will lose 10 mil sockets though.

I don't plan on starting on it until some time in September, I'm looking at least 9-12 months of savings before I even start to gather parts. I'll probably get a long block from speed performance and a clutch to get it at least back driving by next summer........... I can save for port injection and bigger turbo and stuff later on down the road. I should be able to have it back up and running by this time next year. So there really isn't any reason to pull the motor until I ready to order the long block/clutch.............

Well unfortunately I didn't rebuild. The wife's dealership offered me a stupid trade it and a deal I couldn't refuse.....
