About 2 weeks ago I bought a 2008 Mazda speed 3 with 184xxxkms. Test drove it and all went well. On the drive home the bov came out of the hose, tightened back up and it has been misfiring in hard boost ever sense.
The car has mishimotto front mount
Cts4 turbo
Hpfp internals
Exhaust
3.5 intake
Turbo smart gen 5 external waste gate.
So far I've done plugs, hpfp spill valve, the sensor on the passenger side of the fuel rail. Coil packs, maf. Gone and tightened every hose clamp.
Reflahsed my tune and resest my ECU.
I had a fuel pressure regulator code but fixed it doing the sensor on the left on the fuel rail.
Car seems to misfire less when it's cold. The fuel pressure is good, my afr is good. It starts to misfire when I stab it in any gear but does it less when I ease into it.
I am new to these cars, do they have a ballast resistor? If so where are they located? Does anyone have thoughts on what else it could be? Also I have logs of it misfiring if anyone can read those.
