[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

I mean properly firing injectors still won't fix poor compression or leak down.... This isn't you're only issue, albeit an important one

It will 100% fix my problem it was running good before, leak down is 25% at worst in two cylinders I can get through the winter with this engine and save for a built motor in the summer.

Okay there buds, yes hopefully it gets you running through the winter. So that you have a drive able vehicle. However it will not magically fix poor compression and leak down. In what world is 25% okay for leak down? Up to 15% is "acceptable" really 8-12% is where you'd want to be.

Yeah he is going to still be way down on power compared to a healthy motor but given he hasn't probably felt it at a good compression it will feel fixed to him at least lol

I drove mine until it smoked like a freight train at wot and decided it was time
** insert piston with missing ringland **

I don't have a PCV system, it builds pressure at idle, so I have a vented oil cap, filtered vc breather and two filtered pcv plate 90s...

And oil everywhere.

Its fixed, it was the ECM thanks for all your help.

He told me that it could have been because of my tune, tunes hold the injectors open longer and could have causes it to damage the internal circuits in the ECM. Either way i need to get a new tune from justin because my accessory has a different serial number now. He told me to drive it for 2 weeks and just make sure the problem doesn't come back then re tune.

Very weird issue, i hope I don't have to deal with it again

I'm not sure how a tune could cause the ECU to crash. I can see a failure of the ECU by a power surge or communication break during programming but not by the actual tune file.

Either way at least you got it running better? I still have doubts about the health of your engine based on the leak down numbers. Hopefully all is good.

Nah. These injectors are peak and hold, and the hold current is not very high. Also the *actual* duty cycle is half of what you can get on port injectors so that don't exactly jive. It's more likely someone fucked up with wiring or reassembly and shorted out the injector controller, which would likely proper fuck the ECU.

i will need a new engine but Im going to wait till summer time to do that, my valve guides are leaking a little bit so thats part of my oil consumption but for right now it runs decent, Idle is really low because of stock tune but ill put a tune back on in 2 weeks
As for the tune he just said that because they're staying open longer maybe that could be why but really it could have been anything else involving that circuit maybe even the p0202 code i had a month before, but anyways its good now im happy, i forgot how fast my car was

The p0202 code might have has something to do with it but anyways its good now, do you know if im able to reinstall my accessory without flashing a tune? I want to monitor things for a week just to see then ill put my tune back on

You mean your accessport? Yes you can run an Accessport without a tune on I'm pretty sure.
