Opinions wanted on new suspension set up

Koni Yellow and the GC kit worked for me on my PU. You can also look into the ISC kit, but I've no direct experience with them. I know someone who just got a setup for their PU in the track flavor. I know another individual who had a terrible experience with the track setup on their 6. Take it for what it's worth, but I did drive a Challenger at the Dragon at this year's Mazda Dragon meet.

LOL woah, how did the Challenger handle the twisties?
I hadn't considered the GC kit... With those you have to take some struts and modify them for the GC kit to work right?
I'm not too sure, I haven't researched them at all.

It did, but I wouldn't say it did it well. The GC kit uses Koni Yellows with a cut spring perch.

Lol, nice. I'm sure it was still fun man-handling that boat around though. I bet it was easy to break the rear wheels lose with all that power.
As for the GC kit, it can only be used with the Koni yellows? Huh I thought they could be used with any shock/strut brand.

It was 4700lbs and it doesn't have that much power. My Roush is much more of a handful with 670hp going to the rear. I was actually appreciative of the rear not trying to step out at the dragon.

You can use any strut and the Konis, I believe, are getable in more variations to match up with the springs.

Yeah that would suck to skid off the road at a place like that.
Thanks for the info about the GC's. I did a quick search and see that they sell some already assembled with the Konis and camber plates for $1400. They seem to be in stock too but knowing my luck they are probably special order with a 3 month lead time, lol.

Well, I may know someone who might be selling some. @kennyfish bought some but GC sent him the wrong springs. If you're interested he may be willing to put up a for sale ad. I also touched them to cut the perches. I may have also almost taken my dick off when doing it so there's that. He is the one who bought the isc as well. I think the GC kit sat well with the right springs. I'll have to find my 2015 photo from the dragon and the speed.

lol oh man, I don't want to accidentally take my dick off.
Well, depending on the price I would be interested for sure. What was wrong with the springs they sent him? Too soft I presume. Do you think the GC kit is better option than the H&R's or ST CO? Especially for a dumb ass like me? lol
I'll be honest and say that $1400 for the new fully assembled GC CO set is a bit too much. I feel if I'm going to go that expensive, I think I would go for the KW's.
So yea, let me know ball park what the asking price would be. Send me a PM and if cool post up the ad in the for sale forum.

They sent him 7"springs so the front was too high. Not sure where he was at with getting it resolved, but he needed the car up for racing so went with the ISC. They were 600lbs springs so kinda taut.

Hmmm... I wonder if he got it sorted out.

I chatted with him and it was an end links issue. I told him to come here and regale everyone with the story. I'm still picking up top hat bearings off my garage floor weeks after the install.

lol, I hope to avoid the same thing happening to me.

Just get the right end links and you should be good. You may want lighter springs though if you plan on driving it on the street. I had 300 and it was a bit rough on uneven pavement, but God could I turn. He went full race on his isc and it's a constant punch to the kidneys. Especially in the race seats. He occasionally drives it on the street so it works, but if you had to drive it all the time you'd kill yourself. Mostly from ruptured kidneys

Yeah I wouldn't want to go full race on my speed. Although it's my secondary car and I don't drive it everyday, I still don't want it to be unbearable to drive around town, lol. As for the front endlinks, If I get adjustable front endlinks I should be good to go right?

He grabbed end links that were about an inch shorter than stock for his ISC, id think that would fix the issues he had. Adjustable ones should work, just make sure they're shorter than Stock.

UPDATE:

So I ended up buying the ST X Coilovers. Found someone who had a set in-stock so I went for it. They should be arriving this Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully they work out. I will post up picks once I receive them and when I do the install. Sure hope I don't mess anything up, haha.

@monkey.bones.007 Thanks for the offer to buy the GC Coilovers but obviously I'm going a different way.

The springs ended up being correct. I just had the wrong size end links on the car. I’d be interested in selling. My koni yellows have 10k of light driving and my gc coils have less than 200 miles on them.

And Nator CO has swiped their balls on the coils many times.
