I forgot to torque the intake cam/VVT bolt!!!
In the end was fortunate that pulled off cover wet silicone was still just fine..

I now feel the pain....Anyone who's clocked their turbo... GD this is not loosened bolts turn wherever and done... Decided that covering the valve cover with hot side pipe wasn't pretty...
I would hate to do within engine compartment.

Thought today was a easy install of fmic, as usual though.....while vender said just tug hard on PS cooling lines and install cooler in front of IC....right, not doing that so of course hoses disconnected and will properly bend metal hose angles to fit rubber hoses with no weird tension. Looking at the mount brackets vender supplies for IC... That needs to be done properly too... A future job.

Well now happy with results. I wish I could weld a lot better than my abilities.. of course the length of beads put down by me is less than my height. One of those.....I need to practice tasks of my bucket list.

After plumbing in place. Where will OCC go? Left side is Corksport fuel tank. So a idea happened while I stared at this PS hose bracket for short metal pipe between tank and cooler...... will see if works out after road tests.

Just was walking from garage to house and sun was just right to show off hood fabric...car is chomping at the bit....500 miles more of plain dino oil before final break-in is done....

08 85k speed 3 owned since new, dealer never serviced or needed. Redline only oil changes since break in. Valves at manufacturer max side of clearance, not over. Was a shock to take off tmic shroud, never seen underneath. Not used to seeing no abused connectors, wiring, zip ties, broken plastic bits. (Now have though)
Leak down @ 100 psi 1&4= 2%, 2&3= 1%.

VVT, valve timing path replacement. VVT was just starting to get play, no missing metal bits.
I'm freaking shocked.
