2nd fire up has 2 codes. 1 is my bad. Forgot egr delete to tuner. 2nd is concerning and we noticed this on my wiring. Confirming it's ok per wire tuck. Ugh.

RTV takes 24 hours to send so got some work to do.

That may be the coolant temp plug you have plugged into the ebcs. Iirc they have the same connector. Is coolant temp reading properly?

It's a user error. I connected up properly I just needed to spend a few minutes. Ecbs connection is not totally grabbing. I'm sure the Christine side is just being a little evil.

Upon further review, the fail is big. The damn thing is simply too high. Now to figure out if I can press it down or if it's a bigger failure.

The oil control valve bolts to the head. Near thr vvt actuator. You should not be able to push it down

Your seal shouldnt be that flush with the valve cover tho. Its supposed to stick up further.
Upon further review it looks like maybe the seal is in upside down on yours @Raider

I was comparing others and many are low. So I'm glad that is confirmed. Sadly cover gotta come off and new seal installed from underneath. I wish there was a super fast RTV I could use to drive it sooner than 24 hours tho. I'll be swapping the seal Thursday, then driving Sunday, logging for Will. So. Damn. Close.

I recently installed the AP valve cover kit and it was a total mess. I hope yours went more smoothly. I had a replacement felpro gasket and it must be thicker than OEM because it was a 1 hour process to get the metal spacers into the gasket and get the gasket back into the valve cover seated properly. I also cut up the new gasket on the exhaust cam end that sticks up a little as you pivot it over there. If I was to do it again I would skip the felpro and go with a mahle gasket as it is more OEM. I might end up having to redo it anyways if it leaks. I will update my thread with pics. Did you do the 5ft lbs? That was like NOTHING to tq them to and the valve cover barely was seated at all so so maybe you need to tq it down a little more for the EGR.
