Remove tune for non dealer VVT Replacement?

Welp, the shop does not do the VVT for our MZR motor. Yay for being special!

I am back to the drawing board since I was planning on this being a free repair either by the dealer (hoped for the warranty) or by the shop with the parental help. I'm going to save up for the kit from edge and go from there. @Rokusek I will be in touch for sure man. Tax man needs to get here with his check so I can get this bad boy fixed.

Well, to speed things up I can send you what we have and you'll have to get what we don't. But I'm pretty damn sure I have everything you need.

Now if you want this, it's in good faith that you'll pay me back when you have the funds. We can discuss it more if you are interested. @Raider , you and I can get the details together to cover us both. I can also lend you the tools if need be.

I will just need to go to HQ and verify what parts I have and post up a picture for your verification that I have the parts.

OP you would be down right stupid not to take these guys up on their offer, no shop will do a better job and some will screw the pooch leaving you with a trashed motor. I have read several threads where shops that aren't familiar with our car have destroyed motors when doing the VVT repair. I trust the guys in our club over any dealer or shop, they care about our cars.

Aww such kind words you have.

Don't I know it. I need to work out some details with my wife and figure everything out. This is all happening very quickly and I wasn't anticipating the outreach I am experiencing... this is really something.

I have said it over and over again. This is Nator. It CAN NOT truly be explained. Only experienced. And once you have experienced what Nator can do, you'll never be able to leave.
[doublepost=1456442165][/doublepost]Went to HQ after work, did an inventory and I didn't realize we used as much as we did.

Currently on hand I have:
VVT x1
Crank Friction Washers x2 (need 3)
Intake Cam Friction Washer x1
Valve Cover Gasket x1
Crank Bolt x1
Timing Cover Front Seal x1
Brand New Tube of Ultra Grey Sealant x1
All timing tools

So if you take up this offer, you would still need to order a crank friction washer, chain, chain tensioner, tensioner arm, guide arm. I can help you out with what I have, but you still have to order the other stuff.

I also highly recommend reading my How-To: VVT thread if you plan to do this yourself.

So you already got my PM response, you know what I have here. Get back to me when you figure out what route you want to take.
