So far I have seen BNR being the safe route to go if done properly & safely. I have seen plenty of guys on the Facebook groups wondering if their BNR with low miles took a shit when in reality they're rings are gone or something else went wrong. True.I agree with this. BNR's have been proven to be pretty reliable, cost effective, and easy to install/tune turbos. Only until you start getting bigger is when I have seen people branching out.
