I AM ONCE AGAIN ASKING FOR YOUR HELP!

Sorry, seemed to fit nicely. Anyways... I’m having an issue with my car dying when I go from 6th gear to a neutral coast. Generally I only do this when taking the off ramp by the house for a U-turn, or when slowing down for a cloverleaf exit from the highway. I managed to get a log of this incident(as I’ve come to expect it in certain situations now...) and I’m hoping someone could possibly assist me in identifying the issue.

I’m currently getting tuned by Freektune, which is why the parameters for the log are set the way they are, but I wasn’t sure if this was a tune thing or mechanical issue. The only code I get thrown is a p0300, which is a catch all for everything under the sun.

Any help is greatly appreciated! I hope you all have a wonderful evening and week!

This is likely happening because you have no PCV from the intake mani to the intake, or have unmetered air going into the engine during engine braking. Run a hose with a low crack check valve to the intake, post MAF and that should fix it.

This is going to sound bizzare as hell but I had a similar problem with my car and it turned out to be a dying battery. I dealt with it for about three months and then my battery finally went and I never had the problem again

I can believe it. I’m not sure the last time the battery was replaced, but could probably do with a new one. The alarm has also been doing the sporadic pop off, which I think is another sign of that if I remember right. She still starts and runs strong, but doesn’t always mean it’s healthy. Haha. Thank you for the suggestion!

I think that mine had a bad cell and was still able to start fine although when it was cold it was taking an extra chug or two to kick over

Not sure if this is solved but I had this issue when my neutral switch was corroded/bad. If your idle changes when you press/let go of the clutch, this is likely the culprit.

Also check the Body Control module ground. It's on the driver side frame rail on the ms6 with 4 wires attached to it. When mine was corroded, the alarm would go off any time I locked my car, the turn signals occasionally either didnt work or threw the 4 way hazards on when signaling and the car would die coming out of 6th gear coasting. Cleaning it with a wire wheel and resecuring it cured the issues
