What did you do to your ride today

They are factory Ford parts. @Stockms3; did a good write up at the other place, there was a decent length thread about them.

Part numbers:
bearings: DV6Z-18198-C (made in Germany)
top hats: CV6Z-18183-A (made in Italy)

BTW, what's the story behind the Koni Sports and B8's? I ask because I'll be replacing my struts by year end and have been leaning towards Koni Sports along with a new camber plate I found for next season's autocross.
Simple, the Koni Yellow struts are easily adjustable on-car; the Bilstein B8s need no adjustment. I just threw them on and had the benefit of being able to tweak the front while not having to worry about mounting/dismounting/readjusting/remounting/etc., the Koni Yellow rear shocks over and over again. As a combined setup, I liked it a lot.

I just recently bought Ground Control coilovers though, so I'll be swapping out the Bilstein B8 rear shocks for Koni Yellows in the not-too-distant future. My Swift springs and Bilstein B8 rears will end up in the F/S section :D

Shoot me a PM with the miles on your B8's, might be interested. I have Swifts as well and been quite happy with them.

I'll post a F/S thread. Miles are ~15-20k. Funny you mention tracking. That's the exact reason I'm going to the GC setup. The Swifts just don't have enough spring rate. And I'll be riding pretty close to stock height to maximize grip and suspension compliance. I'm about performance >>> looks. I'm definitely not trying to drop it, you know. I'm starting with 375/430 front and rear, and there's a ton of other spring choices if I want even more stiffness and do a full revalving. DD is the main use now, though; that's all in the future, and part of the reason I'm starting with 375/430 instead of 500/600 or 600/700.

Not nearly as fun as cleaning the valves, but I changed the cabin air filter. Wasn't surprisingly dirty for 43k.

Bilsteins and Ground Control...why not both?

Bilsteins and Ground Control...why not both?

Well, the short answer is it's not a provided option from GC; I guess the perches, etc., have to be machined differently? And OTS B8s aren't up to the task. Revalving them cost as much as a set of new Koni Yellows (for the rears, anyways). What was involved in making it work? Was it expensive?

Additionally, I don't have the time or resources to fiddle with my setup through multiple iterations and down time for revalving to get it right. I need an OTS "good enough" solution for my DD. One day when I retire the speed to weekends/tracking and get an EFR7163 on it, then I'll go all out on the suspension and things like revalving will be feasible. I'll likely be running stiffer springs made by Swift too. Revalving before the final tracking springrates I decide on is too soon for me.

What code showed up when you read the codes? If the AP didn't install either go buy a cheap code reader or stop at a chain auto parts store and have them read it.

All covered in my build thread. Which admittedly I need to update.
Right, but you never mentioned (or maybe I just didn't see?) anything about cost, so I'm assuming that GC just let you swap out the threaded collars? I'm curious about how much new collars would cost if I ever swap over to Bilsteins, so that's why I asked. I could always give them a ring, though.

You also mentioned concern that even with the new collars, there may not be enough clearance at the base of the strut for the collar + adjustment ring combo. I'm curious if that ended out indeed being an issue and what you did, though it seems like an easy fix would be to invert the assembly. BTW, did you ever get new keeper springs? That sucks that the originals disappeared :( I'm looking forward to your build thread update :)

They did everything for free and everything clears fully with the modded adjusters. Honestly the modifications they did would be simple enough to do at home. No modifications needed to the bils whatsoever, unlike with the Koni's where the top edge of the shock needs to be ground off for the GC hardware to fit, although that's also very easy to do.

The helper springs and dividers ended up being smashed into the camber plates (hence why I didn't see them) and are still usable. Now I'm looking into replacing all of the broken stuff. In the meantime I put on stock top hats with the GC spring adapters and no helper springs.

I don't know what the damping forces are like with the stock Bils valving, but I'm inclined to believe they wouldn't work well with the higher spring rates. On the other hand, the Koni's don't either. At least they have the ability to adjust to a higher rebound rate though.

I have the egr code, P0403 I believe. I deleted the egr and really want that light to go out.

There are two EGR codes that need disabled: 0403 and 0401, at least regarding my 2010 Pu, LOL.

Yeah but can you disable them without ATR?

You need a tuning solution, and with Cobb that means being able to use ATR Race. I got mine back in 2012, so I have all the software/access I need to go in and make these kind of adjustments. Sucks that Cobb is now essentially charging for the same utility that was appropriately free before.

Buy used or new? Can you return it resell and get in on the TV group buy?
Bought it brand new. Going to look into Versatune. I've only had the car for 2 weeks, any other good widely used tuners out there?
