302 Miata Time!

Well I always wanted a v8 Miata and to start a project car. Last November, I bought a 94' Miata with 160k miles and with a torsen LSD. I technically got it for $700. Very fun little car! I just want more power for it. I was about to boost it, but just felt that would't be enough for me. I love the sound of a v8 engine. This is going to be a very slow build process as I'm 20 years old and still going to school and have a part time job. The funds will be the most important for this build. Yesterday, I bought a 302 with 98k miles. My goal for now is at least 300whp na power.

Yea should be. Has a cam (don't know which yet). Going to slap some afr 185 or 165 heads and call it a day.... for now lol.

That's a pretty good deal to find on a NA anymore, especially with a rollbar. Should be an exciting build!

I actually bought and installed the rollbar lol. Yea, can't wait until I start tearing stuff apart!

Forgot to mention that the 302 I have came with Gt40p heads. Just founded that out the other day. Still most likely going to replace those with some trick flow or afr heads with a trick flow stage 2 cam.

Bought a boosted protege5 for $500. Spent about $200~ to make it run great and stop the overheating. Then traded the p5 for this miata.

So cleaned up the block and now just need to get it ready for paint. Don't know what color to paint it yet. Don't want black or a bright color. Also decided to keep the same gt40p heads and keep this e303 cam for now.

That'd be too much purple lol.
I believe I'm going to go with a dark charcoal gray for the intake manifold and valve covers and like a light bright silver for the block and heads.
