BNR S4 - Can not pass 24-25psi? Boost Issue...

I had the same problem with this manifold, which is installed on my current car. Did you have it milled? How did you fix it?

No experience with ATP high flow cats clogging, but seen it plenty with other brands. Catalytic converters are not a good thing to have installed on these cars, especially low quality ones like those found on most catted downpipes sold for this platform.

I took the manifold to a machine shop and they milled it flat. it was about .002" out at the worst spot.

I don't think this is a cat issue but I will keep that in mind if all my trouble shooting fails. I can always bring this to the exhaust shop to have it chopped off.

I will post the logs I just did when I get home from work. I am curious to see what my WGDC is doing. The car still pulls like a freight train.

That's not too bad. Mine was out by 5 mm in the middle from where they welded on the support tab in the back. And no, that is not a typo.

What are the details of the intercooler you're using? Dimensions, rated horsepower, etc?

Intercooler is rated for 700hp and is 780mm x 290mm x 80mm (30"x11.5"x3")

So should I hunt a boost leak? I will have to go to home depot and make myself some fittings.

You need to do a boost leak test first.

Get a spray bottle and some soapy water and go to town on it. After that check your wastegate. Use pressurized air on it to see when it starts to open up. Next check your ebcs. How is it plumbed?

Since your forged you can try capping off the wastegate and carefully watch your boost gauge to see if you spike high. I hit 34 psi by accident when i messed up my routeing but NCE with forged motor.
If all else fails punch out the cat from your oem dp and swap it in there to see if its the cat.

I am going to boost test the car tomorrow when I have the time. I will post up my findings after I pressurize the system and fix anything.

So my T-bolt clamps that hold the couplers on my intercooler were kinking causing some leaks under boost.

They are the clamps that came with the kit so I will be replacing them with some better quality ones and see if that solves my issue.
The leaks would happen at 2psi so my turbo was making up for it the entire time...

Man, if only some one had mentioned that in like the second post this could have been solved sooner.
I was on the train of thought that I was going to see AFR going crazy with a boost leak but I suck.
The funny thing is... I have had this boost leak since I installed the FMIC.

I tried and I failed... the lesson is, never try.

LOL.

The biggest thing the forums have over FB pages is experience. A good portion of the time on here we`ll answer from direct experience vs some crap we read about some choad on another page giving advice they were never qualified to give in the first place. All I mean by all of that gibberish is we have usually earned our badges from personal experience :-D

I'm lovin' it
You certainly do love it.
