Cts-v brake conversion interest

Hey guys, Im looking to get some interest in a bbk kit with cts-v calipers. There's a company that is considering making brackets for us but are gauging interest. I'll post the link to the other forum upon consent from @Raider;. So basically the stock cts-v calipers are a 4 pot, and can be had for cheap despite having that Cadillac markup.

Am interested in low cost BBK. Posted my support in other thread; too bad my username is the same so I can't be counted twice! ;)
 
I'm not hating, this is an honest question. What would be the advantage of the CTS-V calipers over the Stoptech, Wilwood and Corksport calipers that are made specifically for the Speed3?
 
Price would be a big advantage. Possibly also lighter weight? Dunno about the calipers from the guys you mentioned, but someone on the other forum said the CTS-V calipers weigh in at about 9lbs each. Stock for us, by comparison, is something like 20? Unless I'm remembering the numbers incorrectly.

Cheap, if the brackets and hardware aren't too expensive. Think I saw them for ~$350 for a pair.
 
Interested depending upon what pricing is for the kit. I'm assuming the ABS sensors would be lost to this conversion?

Also assuming we're talking about the first gen caliper assemblies since I believe second gens have the option of a 6 pot.

ABS sensors shouldn't be lost since they are mounted into the knuckle and sense the rotational speed of a tone ring on the axle. I think the bigger question would be if it would need an adjustment to the stock brake bias.

I'm sure there will need to be a change to brake bias, but not much can be done about it with the brake hydraulic system in stock form.
 
Another random thought, I wonder if the Mazda 5 rear brake conversion would be enough to get the bias close to right. I have the CS BBK right now and it really doesn't need an adjustment to the stock bias but they also sized the combined area of the pistons to be similar to the single piston of the stock system.

On the other forum, Tomas said way back that he didn't notice a significant difference in bias change.
 
I have mazda 5 rear brakes. Little change if any, still feels balanced. looks better with the larger rotors though
 
Cheaper price is a good enough reason to want this. I share the same brake bias concerns as other people have mentioned. I suppose that will be easy to dispel if someone is actually able to test their car with these CTS-V calipers.
 
The other thing to figure out would be rotors since we have 5x114.3 vs the cts v which is 5x120

I would be down depending price. Although I plan on picking up a bbk relatively soon and the $1200 wilwood kit has my attention. Would be awesome if the ctsv calipers could work on the cheap

I run the wilwood kit. It's pretty nice, but at the track can get hot with agressive pads. I need to make ducting
