So ive been rolling around on my old magnaflow catback because the corksport catback i have needs hangers cut and extended because it rubs in 4 dofferent places. Corksport doesnt believe me and they wanted me to put it on and take pictures and blah blah blah. Been down that rabbit hole before and im not wasting days of constant swapping exhausts so i modified it myself to get it to fit right. Anyways i digress, so witn the magnaflow i was pretty much topped out at 28psi, wouldnt really give me anymore boost and i was running out of fuel. So i had some time this weekend to fix up the new exhaust and get it installed and man i forgot how much louder the cs catback is, so much for sleeper status. So took it out on same map and gained 2psi, 20hp amd 50tq and afr was .7 richer. To say the least i was pleasently surprised. So now i have a 4bar on the way and im going to put my stock fuel pump in the passenger side hanger and change up my aux fuel setup. I also ordered some vp m5 meth, which pretty much has nitro in it, and only spray meth pre tb so that should all give me the fuel i need to max this turbo out. Hoping for 600whp but i dont care that much, its fun to drive and will destroy most cars i could encounter on the highway.

Those are pretty monster gains from one 3" to another 3" turbo back, crazy.

No actually the magnaflow is 2.5" od so even smallert id. Corksport is 3" id so quite a bit bigger like 20% more volume. Unfortuately magnaflow doesnt make a 3" for the 6 or i would have been all over it, so much quieter.

Lots of guys run this to quiet things down. Might be worth a look.

That thing looks giant and im not sure of anywhere that would fit without scraping or touching the body. The corksport already prevents me from being able to get an alignment at any shop within 50 miles because its so big.
 
it isn't that big, i added one to my 3" cbe. helped a ton with volume, drone, and eliminating the ricer fart rasp.
 
Oh, no, I forgot you have a 6. Mine is a 3...muffler above the mid brace and reso right before the exhaust angles up to go over the subframe. I can snag a pic at some point if you want to get an idea of size relative to 3" piping.

There is no space on a 6 at all, right below the driveshaft is the exhaust and the tunnel is barely wide enough for the 3" exhuast and then you really run out of room once you get back to the diff and subframe. Only type of resonator i could imagine fitting is a glasspack style but that might even be pushing it.

I was able to get a vibrant on my 6 just before the CBE flange. Tight but it fits.

And it was a very pricey downpipe id rather not hack up. I may try some resonated tips sonce the corksport tips dont extend passed the exits and fireballs are burning them up. I may end up trying a glasspack too because the drone is terrible. I only drive the car once a week maybe but all you hear is exhaust drone.

Yeah the drone is no good lol. Nice DP, nope, your not getting the vibrant on there and i agree, not worth cutting it up. Res tips probably wont do much unless they extend out a good bit. I made 3"'extensions that helped a good bit w drone as it helped exit past the bumper. No change in db at all. Interested to know if they help though. I am always seeking quietness:).

Im even debating hacking off the mufflers and buying some 3" magnaflow or borla mufflers to quiet it down. There must be next to no fiberglass or steel wool packed in these corksport mufflers for how much drone there is. Ive never had a car so loud and ive had multiple straight pipe supras. Im glad i dont live in a city or have any neighbors within a mile or id imagine they wouldnt like me very much. I mean i almost cant hear my screamer pipe on the wastegate and thats right next to the dash.

Be happy you dont have the CPE lol. Its louder. Yeah i hear the magnaflow mufflers work good. It may be a good solution. Probably need to put the largest one you can fit in there lol.

Yea i need to get under there and measure, but the magnaflow catback i replaced has just about the sound i want. Sounded almost stock just a little bit louder and no drone.
