Post S3 install thread because KiwiFail

I could bring the exhaust to the enmw meat.

crapatalk it sucks for free

Breh.. If I were to go to MWM, I'd prob have to fly in. Idk if I can carry that exhaust in the plane lol!

Current situation... uhh.. ok.. so.. idk why we didn't just drop the engine from the bottom.. It was a lot more work doing it this way than I thought it would be lol. Nothing comes off easy on this car.

Next is to get some gaskets, media blaster gun to clean the intake valve on the new engine, get some good condition low mileage OEM flywheel and clutch, and she'll be good to go.

Welp, this weekend has been slow but very productive I would say. Got a hook up from a Nator member who works at the Mazda dealership where I got my pu from. Also, pictures below will tell why I feel it's like Christmas in July.

OEM gaskets, O-rings, spin on conversion kit, LUK clutch, Moog front end links and serpentine belt are here!

Christmas in July!! Got this engine that's already taken apart for dirt cheap. This will be a spare that I'm prob going to build slowly if/when money & time permitting

I figured I'll do valve cleaning while the engine was out. So Friday night after work, I went and did just that.

Look at this damn thing... It looks like a Wednesday after taco Tuesday....

B-12 is in and I let it soak in there

Saturday I started to put in everything in the back of the engine (That's what she said)

What a mess!! I'm talking about my friend and his crooked way of wearing socks and sandals while working on an engine....

My uncle got sick and had to go to the ER Sunday morning. So i didn't really want to bother him with the noise and whatnot. The only thing I did Sunday was just vacuuming out the B-12 out of valve 1 & 2 and put in more B-12 in 3 & 4. @Maisonvi what do you think of my duct tape engineering skills?

Oh hai broken engine..

"engineering" Whatever man, as long as it works.

That cylinder head looks pretty chewed up. You sure it's going to seal against the new gasket?

Also, that serpentine belt is for a pu...is that what you are wanting? The juan uses a slightly longer belt because the PS pulley is larger than the dead pulley on the pu.

To answer your first question, I have no clue. I'll clean it and inspect it again when I get home. Thank you for pointing both these things out tho. My friend from Advanced asked me if the serpentine belt was for my car and I just said yes lol I didn't specify the belt was for ze juan.

Wow been a while since I updated this.

Anyway,
Lost motivation to work on the car after all that work putting the motor in and found out cyl 3 got no compression. Luckily dude was stand up and he refunded all my money and said to just keep the block.

So that being said, I'm going built lol. These past few months have been a very steep learning curve. Both good and bad but hey, it is what is. Thanks to everyone putting up with my questions and answering them. @Maisonvi @alexwlwsn @VTMongoose @KingScumbag

Parts bought:

- Manley 88mm Platinum pistons with custom wrist pins (I don't remember the name of the brand but these wrist pins are much beefier)
- Manley H-Beam rods

- HTP 4" intake
- FJ Exhaust mani + dump tube + downpipe
- GHL catback with V-band flange to match the downpipe

Also to confirm the Dayco serpentine belts listed here by @JohnnyTightlips DO fit genjuan's.

Thanks to the mystery man I bought majority of these parts from. Got a hell of a brodeal!! <3

Pulled the motor out 2 weeks ago (again), and pushed the shell out of the garage for the time being.

We also cleaned the garage a little bit. Anyone needs tires? Pretty sure they'll fit in my genjuan

Thank you @CorkSport - Derrick for the Butterfinger to help keeping my motivation going lol

Engine is back from the machine shop. TBH, I almost had a heart attack when he told me how much it ended up being after all said and done.. but oh well. Lesson learned.

This is the turbo I've told myself I will use If I ever decide to build my engine. Kind of like a cheaper efr. What hotside did you to go with?

After confirming with the previous owner, I can say that it's this one
T3 Open Scroll turbine housings available: .63, .82, 1.06 A/R with 3" V band outlet

You have a lift in your garage?? Kiwi you lucky bastard.

Lol it's my uncle's. He's got all kinds of tools. Torch, air compressor, you name it lol. Dude got like 4 engine stands he's selling 2 for $25 each because he wants to get rid of them. He's got so many duplicate sockets and ratchets, he told me to buy a tool box and he filled it up with them lmao.
