Well I was at about 6-10psi when it lost signal and immediately died. It felt as if it wanted to throw me through the windshield so I cna only imagine at over 20psi during a pull that dumb little zip tie falling off and throwing me into the dash lol Not really my idea of fun so idk hahaWhy not if it fits but doesn't click just zip tie it so it stays together
That's a good idea man thanks for telling me! I will probably try this before actually hunting down the oem style plug. Did you put some inside the connector and then just squish it on? Lol ( obviously not too much that it interferes with the prongs etc)High temp RTV is my suggestion, just a little dab so you can cut it with a razor blade if you need to remove it. I have one of my DI injector plugs held on that way. Thanks GraveyardIts been that way for 15k miles or so with zero issues. I messed around with zip ties but could never get something worked out that made me feel confident there was no chance of failure.
No not on the inside. I pushed the connector on and used it on the outside across the joint just a small spot about the diameter of a pea. All I was trying to accomplish was "gluing" it in place so it doesn't come apart. Also this way you can just cut it with a razor so you can take it apart. That's a good idea man thanks for telling me! Yeah I will definitely try this. I'm glad that they at least helped you solve the issue, even though that's frustrating fs.No not on the inside. The issue I had was that the reconditioned injector that Graveyard sent me had a missing/broken retaining tab. So my injector harness plug would slide on but it wouldn't engage the tab which locks it in place.
So my throttle body connector is also held on with RTV. Somehow I broke the connector when I went to push it back on the TB. While I had the motor out of the car I figured I would fix it so I soldered a brand new pig tail connector on. When I went to push the new one on it broke the exact same way the original one did so at that point I said fuck it. I would still like to figure out why the hell they broke. You can see my little glob on top of the connector keeping it from coming off.Yeah I will definitely try this. He's already cheating using DJ CF instead of 1.01 hahaYeah just turn up the CF a touch more and you got this.
Just let him have a moment of happiness lol. He is still making some great power on a cheap setup. I still think that CF for DynoJet is more accurate. Maybe it wasn't 15 years ago when the OG's were doing it?He's already cheating using DJ CF instead of 1.01 haha
I was digging into this myself a while back: vdyno is modelled and tested against dynojet so it probably is the most accurate. I think the mustang guys leave it on dynojet iirc from digging into the forums a while back.Just let him have a moment of happiness lol. He is still making some great power on a cheap setup. I asked the creator of vdyno and he said that the dynojet setting is the most accurate lol that was like 4 years ago. For a while he was responding on facebook messenger as I had some questions.I was digging into this myself a while back: vdyno is modelled and tested against dynojet so it probably is the most accurate.
