Well I might end up buying some anyway and just making them work. My main problem is knowing how to find which wire does which operation, such as turn signal wire, dim lights wire, bright lights wire, etc. Once I know which is which then I can probably wire it myself

So I pulled the exhaust manifold and lo and behold it is the wastegate adapter gasket. I think the bolts loosened up and then it blew out the gasket material as it isn't a stainless or copper gasket.

I'll give the bolts an ugga dugga and a healthy portion of blue loctite along with a new gasket (cometic exhaust gasket making material) and see what happens. If I have this issue again I will be purchasing a better gasket and maybe a dab or so of red loctite instead.

I'll just be glad to have this thing back on the road and ready for the pi. Once I know this exhaust issue is fully fixed I will try out the pi injectors.

Well because I want to know if it is the material that sucks or the bolts loosened and it failed. If it fails again I will know not to use this stuff but that $3 gasket is probably $10-12 by the time you ship it and it isn't in my garage already. That is the perks of using this gasket material if it actually works. We will know soon enough.

IIRC Loctite Red is specifically formulated to give up the grab with heat...Using it on an exhaust manifold will probably get you nowhere.
Yeah that's true didn't think about that so good point.bi used blue but we will see idk.

What's up everyone :) So I haven't posted for a while but been having some annoying issues that I am working out. I'll spare you guys the boring details but tig welded the bolts to my wastegate adapter so it shouldn't ever loosed up again.

Once that was fixed my car was running +20LTFTs and wouldn't idle normally. Found the intake manifold casting plug blown out. JB weld putty is my first attempt to fix this. If it doesn't work I will tap and plug and weld the aluminum plug in permanently.

Checked plugs and the gaps were terrible but looked to be burning half decent despite everything lol Will update with hopefully a good boost leak test and a healthy running car soon!

Got everything tested and checked. Didn't find any leaks up to 25psi anymore and gapped my plugs to 0.025. With all that said I still am having very lean idle issues.

Wondering if my maf or o2 could work during higher rpm/voltage but not during idle. Feels decent under boost and normal driving but stutters sometimes at a cruise when giving it very slight gas to keep it the same speed.

If anyone has ideas let me know!!

Only thing I can imagine is if the heat from my exhaust leaking massively could've screwed up the primary o2 wiring somewhere.

Do you get any codes when it happens?

Yeah it is a "lean at idle" code. Says the culprit is usually what we have discussed somewhat such as maf and boost/vacuum leak etc.

could it be something with EGR not closing properly making u go lean? don't know if your EGR is deleted or not. I think i saw Enki say it but an exhaust leak could also cause a lean at idle, check for cracks in the accordion on the EM

I'm way past stock mani bro lol ;) Read this build thread to catch up on my sad speed adventure from the last 5 years haha

I am thinking the fix I did to my setup didn't fully seal even though I would've assumed it wouldn't have been enough to even make a difference I am guessing it may be the issue yet again/still.

Well guys, after a long couple weeks of screwing with my car I finally got it running nice and did a few things. Firstly, I installed a stainless gasket for the wastegate adapter and then tacked the bolts again to keep them from loosening. While I was there I took the liberty of adding a 4psi spring additionally to my EWG. It is now setup for 15-16psi and feels perfect. Then, I installed new 1 step colder spark plugs gapped at .025 each. I found out my sealed catch can was open creating a decent sized vacuum leak which caused my terrible idle and now all is well!! :D

Just ordered the serial to usb for my split second controller and I have to say..... The money it costs brand new... It is crazy that they don't send a cable with it!!!! I mean c'mon really!?!?

Ok.... Now I'm done ranting and will update next week sometime with how my first pi tests went to make sure my wiring is all working properly and that the pi is all ready for tuning at some point!

Lets GoOo 500+whp!!!!!! Moooon Tuuunnneee
