I own a first gen speed 3. How much transmission fluid should I buy and what type should I get? I'm going to be fully replacing the fluid.
Also how much power steering fluid should I put in after a flush?

I would actually go with this over the Ford fluid. Ford stuff works great but this stuff works even better. No grinding even when it was -10f out. Make sure your shake it really well before pouring so the additives can get mixed back in. @Sho is also running this.
 
I'll be trying the Motul 75w90 next for shits and giggles. And because I got a leak and all my jizz leaked out :oops:

Now for the gen 2 guys who's manual calls for 75w80 people have been running even the Ford stuff in gen2 tranny without issues right?
Tribodyn only makes it in 75w90. Motion makes 75w80 but tribodyn seems to get a better rep.
 
I haz a genPu.

Been using 75w-90 since 12k miles on the car back on 2013.

Used to run Amsoil, I would not recommend it. This stuff sucks to shift when cold.

Now I am using Motul 75w-90, it's ok. Smooth when hot, a little hard to shift when cold but nothing to worry about.

I use Ford Mercon V for power steering, good stuff and you can shop around for a good price.
 
Cold is a big concern for me I'll see -25f here in the winter... Redline I also find hard to shift when cold but better than OEM in the Pu. I'll be swapping my power steering fluid to motomaster Mercon V (basically the Ford stuff) as I'm due for a flush.

I have a pu trans in my juan. They are the same besides gearing so I don't know why the weight would have change other then them trying to cover up 2nd gear grinds or something. I never had any issues in the winter -10f and lower. A few times I had to drive and was not able to let it warm up and it still shifted smooth.
 
Here it's even cheaper!!! Hurry ! 5 left !

curse you folks and your cheap Tribodyn, looking like $200 for me with shipping costs... seriously considering going ford fluids and saving $100 although I see -43 or lower at peak here in winter (C/F its the same) anyone have experience with both in the cold (-13f average temps) or just sub freezing
