This is how my Stratified 3-Port is hooked up on my BNR S3 setup (also with only one port on the WG actuator). Works flawlessly:Revviving a old thread!!!
I am having a over boost situation during the initial spool. The map commands 20 psi and I am hitting 25+ for a few frames(5) on the datalog. My tuner told me to check the ebc lines and the connectors (cap)on the waste gate actuator .I am currently checking the actuator but my actuator has only one nipple that is connected to the ebc is not extra nipples to cap.
Pretty sure the port numbers/roles are the same on all the MAC-derived valves, but feel free to fact-check me on this. The thing that can be confusing is COBB and Grimmspeed locate the ports differently. And the numbering system is counterintuitive. By far the easiest thing to do is call the manufacturer of your valve and get specific directions on what nipple goes to what item (boost source, WG actuator, and intake) with your specific EBCS in interrupt mode.Only follow the stratified instructions if you have the stratified ebcs. I believe they're different from the normal MAC or GS ebcseseseses.
That log shows boost spike, not boost creep. You'll know creep because your WGDC will keep going down as the ECU tries to lower boost, but your psi will keep going up. Wanna see true creep? Check this out (0 WGDC and 26psi - attached). The boost target is 20psi and I am overboosting to 24psi and it just started a week ago, I switched to a old map that I know as running good 3 weeks ago and same outcome. I am currently running spring pressure an I see 12.4-13.00 psi WOT. Here is one log.
It looks like textbook boost spike. If another tune does it too, then that makes it even more likely. The fact that a spring pressure log is a constant 12.5psi proves my point even more. You have a boost control issue. That's a tuning issue. Again, creep isn't a tuning issue, it's a mechanical one.Is not he tune because I switched(3) maps same outcome, and I run that map that you see the log a spring pressure no spike 12.5 psi so is not the map.I aleady change al my EBC lines, switched map to a map that was spot on 3 weeks ago, check waste gate flapper (tested with air compressor) double check EBC lines connection on tri port .Last thing to do is swap EBC (ordered should arrive this week) to see because I have covered all the bases I think!!
Too high commanded WGDC and/or too aggressive WG dynamics table settings in your tune.Oh ok I got you.I see the waste gate duty cycle going over 50%+ in a few cells right before the spike. The problem is that old maps that were working normal (not spike)now have boostpike 23 psi. What would be the explanation for that?
